TEXT: Act 7:38-41
MEMORY VERSE: ‘If they were thinking about the country they had left, they could have gone back'. Heb 11:15
In the text, Stephen was giving an account of how the lord used
Moses to bring out the children of Isreal from the bondage of slavery, but in their journey to the promised land many of them turned back to Egypt in their heart. They preferred the Egyptians ways of life and they still wanted to worship the gods of the Egyptians.
In the Christian race to heaven today, which can be likened to the wilderness the Israelite passed through, many Christian still turn to their old ways of life (Egypt) in their hearts. Many Christian still make up gods for themselves as an alternative for the gods they served in Egypt.
After much had been said about men of faith in Heb 11, the secret of their success was stated in the verse 15, which was that all their thinking was not about the country they had left. What occupies your thought today?
In the general contexts, in can be said by a-lot that They did many things in their Childhood that seems very intresting to them due to the fact that They were young.
But now, it is almost difficult to declare those things great to do at the Adult stage whereas a child will enjoy doing them, so also is the lives of a man that God born again.
When some a man/woman was in the world pleasure seems awesome to Him or her but the moment he or she meets with Christ all of the pleasure and entanglement of the world should vanish.

If we now still see a Christian that take pleasure in the Things that are not of God, Such a man has never met God or he must have compromised His faith. So my brothers and Sisters, Pleasure might seem Good but is as deadly as anything and the end thereof is death. May God help and lead us aright in Jesus name. Amen.
